Five Element Nutrition for Kinesiologists

About the Course

This course has been specifically created for Kinesiologists who want to develop an understanding of holistic nutrition in a way that will support their practise, as well as their own health and wellbeing. It is also a great way to deepen your knowledge of the Chinese Five Elements. It is delivered via a learning platform that works equally well on PC, laptop, tablet and smart phone so you can conveniently mix and match when and where you complete the lessons.

It has been approved by the Kinesiology Federation U.K and the Creative Kinesiology Assocation as a suitable course to cover your 'core subject nutrition' needs. For C.K.A students it is also available as a C.P.D option, worth 30 hours

This self guided, experiential online course that can be completed over six months, explores Natural Nutrition and how it weaves together with Five element theory; it is not so much about facts, but more about the energy of food and nutrition and how this impacts us, body, mind and spirit. You will find out how we can work with the body to support it towards health and wellbeing using food and nutrition.  The course is supported by an in-depth manual, which you can download and print, that gives you the facts on nutrition, anatomy and physiology (relevant to nutrition) and staying healthy with the seasons using the 5 elements.

The course is divided up into bite size lessons made up of either a short audio or video plus written material and diagrams. Have a look at the curriculum below to see what is included.

Integral to the course is your Personal Learning Journal. For each lesson there is a Personal Learning Journal prompt which encourages you to explore the Five Elements and Natural Nutrition philosophy and concepts for yourself. This is the way to really get to 'know' the Five Elements and how food can be 'medicine'.

There will also be some 'Bonus Lessons' included too, just to add some extra interest.

Assessment criteria for Nutrition Core Subject

Assessment criteria for C.P.D option for C.K.A members

  • Completion of a summary of your own journey based on your Personal Learning Journal. You could do this using the case study structure if you like.

Here is what a student said about the course...

'Carol felt like a good friend talking me though the course one step at a time. All her years of experience supported and reassured me from beginning to end.

I loved all the elemental meditations which brought the course to life and helped me to feel it and understand it in my body.

Relating each element to the cell stucture is genius and it was really satisfying to see how Natural Nutrition and the Five Elements can support each other.  And the 'mini lessons' made fitting it around a busy schedule both do able and easeful'.

Jacqueline Lawes, Creative Kinesiologist

The cost of the Core Subject course is £235

The cost of the C.P.D option is £170

Carol Lee

I am a Creative Kinesiologist and Nutritional Therapist, I work locally and internationally. Food and nutrition has been both my passion and 'medicine' for probably three decades. I have several 'foodie' passions. I love empowering people around the healing power of food and nutrition, as a recovering sugar and processed carb-aholic, I love to support people to overcome their attachment to sugar through solid nutritional and nourishing principles. I also love weaving my nutrition knowledge in with the potency of the natural cycles including the seasons and moon phases. This is based on my love of the Chinese Five Elements. I first fell in love with this beautiful philosophy in my 20s when I was studying Acupuncture. You can find out more about me and my work by clicking the Carol Lee Natural Health tab right at the top of this page.
